Wastepaper baskets give new life to discarded plastic

recycled plastic baskets

The plastic that we use today will exist even years after we are gone. I believe most of us know this bitter truth and are even taking serious steps to prevent the environment from getting polluted from this hazardous material. One such green move to divert discarded plastic from landfills can be seen taking place in Nepal. Under the SPIRAL Foundation Workshop, a nonprofit that renders assistance to developing countries, artisans are crating amazingly colorful baskets from cast-off plastic wrappers. Dubbed the “Wastepaper Baskets,” these bags give new life to waste plastic. Proceeds from these $36 bags will help in the functioning of a health clinic in Nepal.
