This year the competition was centered around renewable energy and the use of green energy in autonomous vehicles. Participants were asked to build a robot that initially had no energy and then use solar energy to traverse a set course of obstacles and terrain in three minutes. Standing against Mississippi State and Florida in the last round, the WKU’s robot posted the best run, winning the competition.
