The Xinseng Park at Taipei will now attract more and more visitors not only for its natural beauty but also for the beautiful pavilions built out of re-usable and eco friendly materials. The three pavilions made at the park during Taipei International Flora Expo early in 2010 have received rave reviews from people at large and hence is about to reopen on August 1, 2011 after about three months of renovation work.
The pavilions are named as -âPavilion of Dreams,â âPavilion of Angel Lifeâ and âPavilion of the Future”. Three of them are entirely built from wood and recyclable materials. The Pavilion of Dreams was hugely appreciated by the visitors for its high technology during expo which continued from November to April this year. Its main feature is a theater that shows a 10 minute long 360 degree animated film of nature and landscapes of Taipei. As much as 8.96 people visited the pavilion and appreciated its architecture and technology. This appreciation further encouraged government to present the three buildings with slight modifications and better eco friendly technologies.
While the basic structure and original built has been kept intact, the organizers have tried to make ticket buying process easier for visitors. The visitors can now buy tickets from convenience stores without standing in long queue for hours. To allow people to see the building closely, the government has now allowed only 35 people at a time to visit the Pavilion of Dreams.
The theater is a result of collaboration between Blue Phoenix New Media Arts and the Center for Measurement Standards of the Industrial Technology Research Institute. The pavilions are a symbol of Taipei’s rising agricultural, cultural and technological progress and have been designed by the famous architect Chang Ching – hwa. Ching is famous for having designed the famous Beitou Library in Taipei.
The pavilions will reopen on 1 August 2011 and are expected to remain open for the entire year.
