If you wish to taste a pinch of thrill, excitement, fun and joy at one go, make sure you enjoy a roller coaster ride once. Believed to have originated from the so-called “Russian Mountains”, the roller coaster is a popular amusement ride developed for amusement parks and modern theme parks. Whether the smooth ride offering steel coaster or the wooden coaster that are known for their rougher ride, they are ideal for any adventure enthusiast. We also have hybrid roller coasters that combine a steel structure with wood tracks, or a wood structure with steel tracks. Be it any roller coaster, the main idea is to forget all worries and have a time of your life. So, bringing this thrill and fun element to Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset, England is the new plan for a roller coaster.
The 40 meter tall ‘Burnham Powercoaster’ will be not like any other roller coaster, it will also have a pinch of green to it. A London entrepreneur has unveiled exhilarating proposals for a £250,000 eco-friendly roller coaster this week. In order to make it as green as possible, 4-1 Eco-Entertainment is planning to incorporate several power-generating wind turbines into the structure, which will capture power from onshore prevailing winds. The roller coaster will be located at the southern end of The Esplanade, away from residential areas, so that it doesn’t not have any negative impact on the residents. It will be constructed in such a way that it is visible to tourists on the seafront.
The company claims that the roller coaster is expected to produce enough electricity to meet half of Burnham’s total power requirements. Jim Harvey also says that the extra income from the power generation, the construction cost will be recovered and will start making profit within 18 months.
