
Selective Catalytic Reduction is soon going to be outdated as Mercedes-Benz emerges on the scene with EEV (Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicle) technology that promises to improve its buses’ emissions without adding any additional exhaust filter. As BenzInsider reports it, the technology could easily outdo Euro 5 emission standards.
Therefore, with some alterations into its already superior engine design, MB hopes to get its hands on more cost-effective maintenance, longer service life, improved fuel economy and less curb weight. While founding it with Mercedes-Benz’s BlueTec 5 diesel technology, the developer tweaked fuel injection through new injector nozzles, piping and mounting systems.
