Traditional Arab designs have always appealed to me. So, when I came across this magnificent combination of traditional Arab patterns with clever engineering, I couldn’t stop myself from sharing it with you. Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, the Institut du Monde Arab is a 19 nation cultural consortium with incredible architecture.
The uniquely beautiful wall of the Parisian museum incorporates windows with 30,000 metal eyes that broaden and narrow automatically in accordance to the rising and setting sun. This ingenious system of the south-facing wall controls both thermal exposure and interior lighting.
