This day is generally held on weekends when people of one section of the city will put out all their garbage in their bins. Only recyclable materials must be put out. The main reason for this is that the Government wants to encourage people to recycle their items after big festivals like Christmas. Instead of just throwing them off here and there, recyclable items can be brought to their centre and put them for recycling, keeping environment cleaning in mind.
