Conceptualized by British architects David Arnold and Alexa Ratzlaff, the “Wind Tower” is a spiraling mega-structure designed to make the most out of prevailing wind currents. The interestingly designed structure is made using steel and concrete. The tower will house 2,000 residences and provide the inhabitants with best amenities. The mixed-used structure will feature commercial, residential, institutional, and recreational facilities.
The Wind Tower coils around a central core that contains the main vertical circulation and storage areas. The 45 meters high wind turbine will generate enough green energy to make the building self-sufficient. The twisted aerodynamically shaped tower will rise above the surrounding buildings to become a landmark.
