From the James Dyson Award, yesterday we covered the GT compello, which is a human-powered tilting trike for wheelchair users. Another entry, this time, aims at easing personal transport. Dubbed as Treadway Mobility, the wearable motorized shoes straps over footwear to maintain the natural center of gravity and a perfect balance.
Developed by Peter Treadway, the set of shoes can be wirelessly controlled via a hand controller. Lithium polymer battery-powered electric motors drive the pair at up to 10mph, and it can be charged through any power outlet. The design renderings of Treadway system show colorful wheels and a rear LED lighting system for higher visibility at night.
