Tyler Farmen’s brilliant sculpture technique attracts AOL attention

Happy Tracks

Creativity knows no boundaries and if you find tough to believe these words, then read this article and you will be forced to change your opinion. Tyler Farmen is an American artist and like many of his creed, he also wanted to come up with something that is unique and attractive as well. Farmen’s hard work paid off as he managed to sculpt “Happy Tracks” using racing kit.

Now you must be willing to know more about “Happy Tracks”. Well, read along to discover everything you want to know about this piece. Farmen has developed a face and yes the face is grinning and has two eyes, brow, bridge and a nose as well. Farmen is beyond any doubt an artist par excellence and he has used his ideas perfectly in Happy Tracks. Since he has used racing kit in his creation, there is no surprise that gives the feel of a race track and racing car. Blue dial and red dial make the left eye and right eye respectively. Farmen took his creativity to next level by using the race track to represent brow and bridge.

Farmen has a nose for designing brilliant pieces and that is why he has made the nose more distinguishable than the eyes (look at the image above). He used a blue colored toy car to represent nose. Did someone say genius? Like I mentioned earlier, Farmen has made a grinning face and for bringing the grin he has used the bend of race track. I have watched motor racing several times and have never thought that someone can use all these things to come up with a masterpiece.

Not many of us possesses the vision to develop something extraordinary out of discarded articles but that’s the difference between ordinary mortals and a professional artist and Farmen scores full marks for his vision.

Farmen’s hard work did not go unrecognized and how could it be as his “Happy Tracks” has been selected by AOL to be presented during the AOL Canvas Project campaign. Under the campaign, the company allows users, who make AOL their homepage, to select their screen background from more than 100 selections, including Farmen’s “Happy Tracks”. Farmen must be on cloud during these, as the selection of his work by AOL is a no mean feat. One more thing, which makes Farmen’s achievement all the more significant is that he is less than 30 years old.
