Charles Ray Walker, 59, has keenly conformed to his father’s business of creating houses, but in a different way. Substituting concrete with bamboo, he constructed just the perfect home from discarded stuff along the Los Angeles River in Boyle Heights. Dolls, toy cars, animals and religious sculptures, all have found a perfect.

Among other extraordinary things, you would find shells, marbles, SpongeBob figures, a Pillsbury dough-boy, an Osama bin Laden puppet in camouflage, the Grim Reaper, some posters, traffic signs and other detritus as well. Charles began collecting discarded toys in 1993 and used these toys to decorate his garden, pathways and stairs.
