‘Bee’ by Bojka: An eco friendly mission to save the bees

‘Bee’ by Bokja

With such wide fluctuations in the natural components of the planet, the need to derive methods for resource channelization towards protecting the environment has gained momentum. Maintaining the ecological balance is a matter of concern and appreciation for the common man and is not restricted to organizations or research institutions only.

A similar inspiration seems to be driving innovators to emerge with unique and fascinating ideas. In the world of designing, Bojka is a name known for the diverse nature of work displayed. Composed of Maria Hibri and Hoda Baroudi, Bojka stands a hallmark for their art forms. These Lebanese designers have displayed their work through various platforms like the French array of footwear at the Christian Louboutin, at the website bogs and many more.

The Salone del Mobile exhibition, the largest of the trade fair of its kind held annually, held in April at Milan (Italy), displayed Bojka’s art work. This is an attempt to save the bees by the Bojka. Considering the significant role of bees, particularly the wide-spread pollination, Bojka was inspired to highlight their role and create awareness to save their lives. This was supposedly a global platform for Bojka in combination with Wait and See, and they have given their creativity a new definition with colorful bees for the audience. An eye-catcher huge bee made out of scrap metal was the main attraction. The collection would be directed to the World Save Bee Fund. This organization aims at creating mass scale attention towards the significance of bees and their contribution in maintaining the ecological balance.

The lively colors used to design the bees are an immediate attention to the audience. The bees appear all over in large numbers – some hanging while others standing on the floor. The charming and articulate appeal created out of such art forms is in no way undermined by the use of waste material used in designing.

Bojka is not restricted to designing but has a wider gamut of functionality. Although the creators of Bojka have strong inclination towards ideas which define sustainability in life, their work finds many diverse forms. The style has found appeal with the audience and their goal towards nature’s sustainability. Bojka has designed a colorful set of arm chairs which were literally drawn out of waste. For their unmatched spirit and bent in creating art out of waste, Elle Decoration is no short of admiration.

Giving meaningful design and motive to art is commendable and needs active participation by all. This effort by Bojka can be one of its kinds of contribution in saving the environmental balance of the planet Earth which has been subject to serious threats creating concern for all inhabitants.
