Framework Agreement to bring photovoltaic-powered hydrogen filling stations to Italy

Acta S.p.A., the Italian company that has been greening the world with clean energy products takes another step towards saving the environment. Earlier this week, the company signed an exclusive supply agreement with Girelli Bruni S.p.A., one of Italy’s leading installers of filling station forecourt equipment, for the supply of photovoltaic installations and integrated hydrogen generators for the Italian service station sector.

In addition, Girelli Bruni will also be the exclusive distributor of Acta’s hydrogen generators for the fuel supply sector in Italy. These generators are based on Acta’s proprietary catalytic and hydrogen conversion technologies, making it easier and safer to combine with photovoltaic installations to produce clean, dry and compressed hydrogen. It is anticipated that the Framework Agreement has the potential of generating up to €5 million revenue annually for Acta. The green energy products company hopes to achieve this level over the next 12 to 18 months.

In June 2010, we saw Acta’s collapsible photovoltaic bike shed canopy being exhibited at Viareggio as part of Acta’s hydrogen village display. This innovative bike shed canopy was developed in collaboration with Girelli Bruni, which will be exclusively supplying it. Acta aims to distribute these units, which can refuel hydrogen fuel cell bikes, boats and other applications, via the Company’s low cost hydrogen generator, to local authorities, marinas, and other commercial customers.
