Cargo is what the Swiss architecture firm Group8 calls its new office that combines two of the biggest cliches in contemporary architecture – shipping containers and stark white offices. Built in collaboration with the furniture manufacturer Dynamobel, the new workplace in Geneva that incorporates more than a dozen old and obsolete steel containers to produce something entirely unique.
The containers add lots of colorful volume to the and stark white office, giving an eclectic interior architecture. The otherwise wide open-plan office now flaunts some silent work and conference spaces, thanks to the shipping containers. Using these containers not only diverts them from landfills, but also fill sup the office space in a cost-efficient way. The result of this beautiful amalgamation is a stunning office that flaunts its contemporary style.
