Austrian architect Hans Hollein has recently completed the design of a high-rise office tower for Shenzhen, China. Located adjacent to the Town Hall and Shen Nan Avenue, the “SBF Tower” has a strategic position within the texture of the city. The 42-storey office tower incorporates vertical gardens that give a very distinct appearance and greenness to it.

Standing some 200 meters high, the SBF Tower will feature alternating zones, with six glazed storeys that have identical floor plates followed by five plates with irregular plans forming terraces. The pattern is repeated throughout the structure. The sky garden levels have deep setbacks and outreaching cantilevers, overgrown with live greenery and outdoor terraces.
